Endowment Giving

Your gift to our endowment helps us be the most exciting force in the opera world—now and in the future. The endowment provides a steady source of funding so we can further our work on stage and in our community.

Our Endowment Funds

Our two funds contain assets from current gifts and estate gifts that are invested to generate income and capital appreciation for San Francisco Opera’s benefit.

The majority of our endowment, valued at approximately $270 million as of April 30, 2022, is currently restricted.

Make a Gift to our Endowment

You can make a gift today or through estate planning. Cash, appreciated stock, and real property are the most common forms of endowment gifts, but other assets will be considered. Please see our Gift Acceptance Policy for more information.
