Welcome in the 2025-26 Season with an evening to remember!

Walk the red carpet into San Francisco’s historic City Hall. There you’ll be greeted with a festive cocktail reception before enjoying an enchanting dinner crafted by local chefs, served in the splendor of City Hall's stunning rotunda. After dinner, you’ll walk across the street to experience the opening night performance of Verdi’s masterpiece Rigoletto conducted by Music Director Eun Sun Kim.

After the curtain falls, end the night with an after-party back at City Hall, where you will be swept up in a swirl of dancing, delights, and excellent company!

This celebration of the start of a thrilling new season directly supports San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Opera Guild’s artistic and education programming.

Please note, this year Opera Ball tickets do not include performance tickets. Performance tickets can be included as an addition to your Opera Ball order. Subscribers who need to exchange their tickets into opening night, have a series that includes opening night, or need to purchase additional tickets should call the box office at 415-864-3330 to place their Opera Ball order.

Seating will be assigned in summer 2025. Seating requests may be submitted via email at patronservices@sfopera.com. Seating for subscription add-on tickets and exchanges will be different from subscription seating. We do our best to consider dinner seating requests but are unable to guarantee your first choice of dinner seating or performance seating. Call the Box Office at (415) 864-3330 with questions.

Federal rules prohibit Donor Advised Funds from providing donations as part of Opera Ball ticket purchases. For more information please consult your Donor Advised Fund institution. For instructions on using appreciated stock to purchase Opera Ball tickets, please call (415) 565-3212.

The Opera Ball ticket price includes a fair market value of $350. The remaining tax-deductible portion will benefit a wide range of artistic initiatives at San Francisco Opera as well as San Francisco Opera Guild’s education programs during the 2025–26 Season.
