Bass-baritone Hadleigh Adams made his San Francisco Opera debut in 2013 as Luther and Schlemil in Les Contes d’Hoffmann. On the operatic stage, he has made recent debuts with Minnesota Opera, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, American Repertory Theatre, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Pittsburgh Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Opera Omaha, West Edge Opera (as Vicomte de Valmont in Luca Francesconi's Quartett), and Opera Parallèle (as a Steward in Jonathan Dove’s Flight). In concert, he has performed with London's Philharmonia Orchestra under Esa-Pekka Salonen, the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel, San Francisco Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under Robert Spano, and Colorado Symphony with Cristian Macelaru. Later this season, he makes his debut with the Nederlandse National ReisOpera as Carl Magnus in Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, and he returns to Cincinnati Opera as Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette. Adams is a graduate of the 2012 Merola Opera Program and a former San Francisco Opera Adler Fellow.
