Lucio, Elisabeth Rom

Elisabeth Rom Lucio

Elisabeth Rom Lucio has been a member of the San Francisco Opera regular chorus since 1993. A native of Seattle, she received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Washington and subsequently participated in the Banff Opera Centre Training Program in Canada under the leadership of the late stage director, Colin Graham.

Past operatic roles include Barbarina/Le Nozze di Figaro (Seattle Opera), Amore/Orfeo ed Eurydice (Seattle Pro Musica), Sophie/Werther, Marzelline/Fidelio (SF Lyric Opera), Gretel/Hansel and Gretel, Adele/Die Fledermaus (Opera Modesto) and Micaela/Carmen (West Bay Opera).

As a soprano soloist she has performed with Pacific Northwest Ballet (Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream, David del Tredici's Child Alice) and City Cantabile Choir (Carmina Burana) among others.

In past seasons, she has also been a member of the Bracebridge Singers, performing at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. When not performing, Elisabeth enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and spending time with her husband, John and daughters, Sophia and Camille.
