Cheiken, Danielle
Praised for being "magnificent, playful, and nimble" (San Francisco Classical Voice) and "terrifically funny and feisty" (Talkin' Broadway), soprano Danielle Cheiken is an active performer in the Bay Area in both opera and musical theatre. Most recent roles include Adina in L’elisir d’amore (SF Opera Guild), Maggie Winslow in A Chorus Line and Young Phyllis/Young Heidi in Follies (SF Playhouse), and Mary and Opera Singer in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Shotgun Players). Her favorite roles include those with a comedic touch, such as Musetta (La Bohème, SF Opera Guild), Frenchy (Grease, Berkeley Playhouse), Carolina (Il matrimonio segreto, Italy), Winnie Winslow (No, No, Nanette, 42nd Street Moon), and Fräulein Silberklang (Der Schauspieldirektor, Austria). Danielle holds degrees in Vocal Performance from both Oberlin Conservatory of Music (Bachelor of Music) and San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Master of Music).
