San Francisco Opera Guild announced today that the Carolina Herrera Fall Winter 2020 Collection fashion show and luncheon fundraiser originally scheduled for Thursday, May 14 at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco has been postponed due to the current COVID-19 situation.
“Out of an abundance of care for the health and safety of our guests and community, we have made the decision to postpone our upcoming fashion show and luncheon with Neiman Marcus and Carolina Herrera,” said San Francisco Opera Guild President Mary Poland. “We look forward to when we can safely come together to present this fundraiser that raises financial support for our education and engagement programs throughout Northern California."
Carolina Herrera New York shared the following statement: “Carolina Herrera New York and Creative Director Wes Gordon are committed to further pursuing our partnership with Neiman Marcus and the San Francisco Opera Guild. As we collectively stay home in order to ensure the safety of our community and loved ones, we use this time to create, stay inspired and spread joy. We look forward to connecting in the future on upcoming events and hope all are safe and healthy during these times.”
The new date for the event will be announced at a later time. The fundraiser was scheduled to take place at Neiman Marcus, the landmark luxury store in the center of downtown San Francisco featuring a special appearance by Carolina Herrera Creative Director Wes Gordon. Co-chairs for the event are Roman Gronkowski and Lisa Zabelle.
The acclaimed McCalls Catering & Events will provide catering for the luncheon and premier event stylist J. Riccardo Benavides will create decor.
