Robert Innes Hopkins is an award-winning stage and costume designer who works in opera and theater. His previous work at San Francisco Opera appeared in The Cunning Little Vixen (2004), L’Italiana in Algeri (2005), and Lohengrin (2012). Other opera credits include Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Rigoletto at Lyric Opera of Chicago; Iain Bells’ In Parenthesis, War and Peace, Rigoletto, and The Flying Dutchman at Welsh National Opera; Madama Butterfly at Danish National Opera; Tchaikovsky’s Charodeika at Naples’ Teatro di San Carlo; L’Italiana in Algeri, Peter Grimes, and Billy Budd at the Santa Fe Opera; and Tristan und Isolde at Venice’s La Fenice. His theater credits include Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, Titus Andronicus, Coriolanus, and Don Quixote at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Neville’s Island, Speed the Plow, and Clybourne Park in the West End.
