Albert Montañez is a multidisciplinary artist: producer, educator, and performing artist. As a countertenor soloist, he has performed internationally. In February 2020, Albert portraited the title role in the world premiere of the Alan Turing Opera Project in Sweden. Recently he participated in the Nordic Song Festival and invited as a guest artist to the Birgit Nilsson concert song in Copenhagen. Albert made his Asian Debut with the Jiangsu Symphony Orchestra and the China Philharmonic in Beijing and Suzhou with ISING International Young Artist Program. He also produced and performed the U.S premiere of dramatic cantata Hojoki-An Account of my Hut by Jonathan Dove in San Francisco. Albert collaborated with American Composer Jake Heggie in the first showcase of his new opera "Great Scott" as Roane Heckle for the Dallas Opera. Albert has performed at the Wigmore Hall in London with the World Premiere of Elizabeth Ogonek's Three Biographies for Countertenor and with the London Contemporary Opera as part of the Male Ensemble in the Opera, "The Schmürz" at the Barbican Centre.
