Virginia Pluth

Virginia Pluth, a member of the San Francisco Opera Chorus, created the role of a Civil Rights Marcher in Appomattox in 2007. The soprano’s numerous other solo credits with the Company have included a Noble Orphan (Der Rosenkavalier), the First Priestess (Iphigénie en Tauride), a Madrigalist (Manon Lescaut), a Bridesmaid (The Marriage of Figaro), a Lace Seller (Death in Venice), Sarah (The Ballad of Baby Doe), and Sister Catherine (Dead Man Walking). Also in her repertoire are Fiordiligi and Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Anne Page (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Micaëla (Carmen), and Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro).
