Erin Neff joined the San Francisco Opera chorus in 1996. She has been heard as soloist extensively in the Bay Area and abroad. At the San Francisco Opera she most recently sang in productions of Rigoletto, The Bonesetter’s Daughter, and Simon Boccanegra. She has sung with Berkeley Opera, Santa Rosa Symphony, Ensemble Parallele, Livermore Valley Opera, Composer’s Inc, North Bay Opera, San Francisco Lyric Opera, Festival Opera and Sacramento Opera.
Ms. Neff , a frequent recitalist, sings as featured soloist at many festivals including: The Mendocino Music Festival, The Jewish Music Festival, The Gilmore International Keyboard Festival; and most recently, The Telluride Music Festival.
Ever a fan of living composers; she has debuted the songs of composer Chris Praetorius;, Jude Navarri, Allan Shearer, and Jack Perla.
Ms. Neff also works collaboratively with visual and multimedia artists developing installations for museums. She has worked with Artist Mike Arcega and more recently with artist, Lewis de Soto. Her work has been seen at the SJICA, Oakland Museum, Stanford Gallery, and she is presently developing a new installation for Riverside Arts Center.
Ms. Neff, a passionate voice instructor, was on staff at UCSF for ten years teaching voice and now runs her own private voice studio.
