2018–19 Season: Count Elemer in Arabella
Tenor Scott Quinn made his San Francisco Opera debut in 2016 as Števa Buryja in Jenůfa. Performances last season include Rodolfo in La Bohème for his Utah Opera debut, the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Alfredo in La Traviata with Austin Opera, and both Camille in The Merry Widow and Oscar in the American premiere of Gareth William’s Rocking Horse Winner with Opera Saratoga. He also recently made role and company debuts with Danish National Opera as Fritz in L’Amico Fritz, Seattle Opera as Boris in Káťa Kabanová, Arizona Opera as Don José in Carmen, and he sang his first performances of Alfredo in La Traviata with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Later this season, the Merola Opera Program alumnus makes his San Diego Opera debut as the Duke of Mantua, sings his first performances of Cavaradossi in Tosca with North Carolina Opera, and returns to Seattle Opera as Don José.
