2016–17 Season: Colline in La Bohème
Previously making his San Francisco Opera debut as Tom in 2014’s Un Ballo in Maschera, American bass Scott Conner made company debuts this past season at the Opéra national de Paris as Nerbulone in Cavalli’s Eliogabalo, and at Royal Opera, Covent Garden and the Metropolitan Opera as the Police Commissioner in Der Rosenkavalier. He also returned to Amsterdam’s Dutch National Opera as Nerbulone. Conner’s other career highlights include Don Profondo in Il Viaggio a Reims and Zoroastro in Orlando at Zurich Opera House, Tom at Munich’s Bavarian State Opera, and a Rossini recital at Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. Next season, he returns to the Dutch National Opera as Nerbulone and Semperoper Dresden as Sparafucile in Rigoletto. Conner is a 2012 graduate of Philadelphia’s Academy of Vocal Arts.
