2018–19 Season: Clara in It's a Wonderful Life

Making her San Francisco Opera and role debuts as Clara, soprano Kearstin Piper Brown began the season perfoming Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra. Other recent engagements include Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem with the Rochester Oratorio Society, Violetta in La Traviata at Utah Lyric Opera, Musetta in La Bohème at Dayton Opera, Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice at Opera Memphis, Micaëla in Carmen at Arbor Opera Theater, Clara in Porgy and Bess at Naples’ Teatro di San Carlo, and Sarah in Ragtime at Utah Festival Opera. Highlights of recent concert performances include appearances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under conductor Robert Spano, and she was featured at Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Bruno Walter Auditorium at New York Public Library. Later this season, Brown makes her role debut as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at Opera in Williamsburg (Virginia).
