Opera in the Park

Our free annual Golden Gate Park concert, Opera in the Park, will take place on September 7 at 1:30pm.

Join us for arias al fresco as we celebrate the opening of San Francisco Opera's 92nd season with stars from the fall operas including soprano Heidi Stober; mezzo-soprano Dolora Zajick; tenors Marco Berti, Brian Jagde, Brandon Jovanovich, Ramón Vargas; baritones Thomas Hampson, Brian Mulligan; and bass-baritone Christian Van Horn, accompanied by the acclaimed San Francisco Opera Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Nicola LuisottiDavid Gockley, General Director of San Francisco Opera, serves as master of ceremonies, and Classical KDFC Radio personality Dianne Nicolini hosts the concert.

Bring a picnic and enjoy this outdoor concert. Food and beverages will also be available for sale at the event.

Traffic Advisory: Due to the Haight Street Music & Merchants Street Festival, Haight Street will be closed from Masonic to Stanyan, with side street closures from Waller to Page on Ashbury, Clayton, Cole, and Shrader. Please plan accordingly.
