The Ring 2011
Order tickets for The Ring of the Nibelung in summer 2011 today! Each cycle is sold as a 4-opera series, separate from fall season subscription series.
Production-premiere performances of Siegfried (May 29) and Götterdämmerung (June 5) are available as single tickets.
Seating Priority

Ring cycle seating priority is based on subscription history, contribution history and order date, with greater consideration given to contributions and Ring Circle/National Patron Program memberships.

Ticket Exchange Policy
If you are unable to use your tickets for a particular performance, you may exchange them for tickets to another performance (during the same season for which the tickets were issued), subject to availability. Return your tickets to the Opera Box Office no later than 24 hours prior to the date of your original ticket. Please note that exchange privileges are different for subscription tickets and single tickets; also please note the "Exchange Policy Exceptions" below.
Subscriber Exchanges
There is no fee for season subscribers to exchange their subscription tickets and additional tickets for another performance of the same opera, subject to availability and 24 hours prior to performance date. There is no fee for Full and Half Series subscribers to exchange to a different opera, and there is a $10 per ticket fee for all other subscribers to exchange to a different opera, subject to availability and 24 hours prior to performance date. Subscribers may also exchange tickets on the day of the original performance, no later than two hours prior to curtain, for a handling charge of $10 per ticket. All exchanges must cover the cost of any price differential in the cost of the ticket. Subscribers may exchange their tickets by phone (please have tickets in hand). Requests received after the performance cannot be exchanged or donated. Read more about subscriber exchanges.
Single Ticket Exchanges
Single tickets may be exchanged for another performance, subject to availability, no later than two hours prior to the original performance, for a fee of $25 per ticket, plus any price differential.
Exchange Policy Exceptions Please note that there are no exchanges from another opera into Cyrano de Bergerac. Please also note that there are no exchanges for Ring cycle performances.
RushTickets Students, Seniors, Military Rush tickets, if available, go on sale at 11am on each performance day until 1 hour prior to curtain. You may visit sfopera.com/rush or call the Box Office on the day before the performance to check availability. Full-time students only: $25; Seniors or Military: $30. Limit two per person with current, valid ID.
Standing Room
There are 200 standing room tickets available for each performance at the War Memorial Opera House starting at $10 each, cash only. Tickets go on sale at 10am on the day of each performance at the Box Office. Limit two per person. 50 tickets are retained for sale two hours before each performance. Standees will be admitted according to their ticket numbers, at the doors on the Grove Street side of the Opera House one hour and ten minutes prior to the performance. Standees may stand at the back of the main floor (Orchestra level), or the back of the top balcony (Balcony Rear).
