Renowned as the most compelling expression of romantic love in any art form
THE SCENE
Cornwall and Brittany, and aboard Tristan’s ship, in the mythic past
THE STORY
The knight Tristan is a close friend of his uncle Mark, King of Cornwall. While escorting the spirited Irish princess Isolde to be King Mark’s bride, Tristan ignites her wrath and much more. Both Tristan and Isolde try to resist their unspoken attraction, but when they mistakenly share a love potion, no force can temper their relentless desire for each other. Death is the only realm vast enough to encompass their passion.
