"Thank you for sharing my passion for Music and for generously supporting the arts organizations in our community. Because of your commitment, you are keeping Music and culture alive for our children, present and future, in a world which often forgets the importance of the arts in their lives."--Nicola Luisotti, Music Director

Cited by General Director David Gockley as “our generation’s most important legacy to the Company,” The Wilsey Center for Opera will unify the current isolated operations of San Francisco Opera on the renovated fourth floor of the Veteran's Building on the War Memorial campus. The Wilsey Center for Opera, with a planned opening in mid-2015, is estimated to save over $1 million in operating costs annually, allowing the Company to better focus its resources on artistic work onstage and in the community.
