If you are unable to use your tickets to a particular performance, you may exchange them for tickets to another performance. All ticket exchanges are subject to availability; any additional ticket price differential will apply.
Full and Half Series early exchange benefit:
At the time of the initial subscription purchase, Full Series subscribers may arrange early exchanges for up to three performances per subscription.
At the time of the initial subscription purchase, Half Series subscribers may arrange early exchanges for up to two performances per subscription.
Early exchanges are available only at the time of initial order, by phone or in person; not available by mail or online. Performances dropped or exchanged will be permanently released from your series for this season; please provide alternate choices.
The early exchange benefit is valid between January and May, before subscribers receive their season tickets. Once tickets are received, subscribers enjoy general exchange period privileges (see below).
Ticket exchanges during the general exchange period:
The general exchange period for the 2013–14 season continues.
The general exchange period for the 2014–15 season will open mid-June.
There is no fee for subscriber exchanges to another performance of the same opera.
Full and Half Series subscribers may exchange to a different opera with no fee.
Mini, Out of Town and Design Your Own series subscribers may exchange to a different opera for $10 per ticket (compared to $25 per ticket for non-subscribers).
Student and Teacher series subscriptions are subject to additional restrictions; please click here for additional information.
Subscribers may exchange tickets over the phone (please have your tickets in hand).
If there are no alternative performance dates that work for you, please consider returning your tickets as a donation. You may donate your tickets by calling the Box Office; an acknowledgment will be mailed to you for a tax deduction.
A $10 per ticket fee is charged for subscriber exchanges made on the day of the performance (discounted for subscribers from the $25 per ticket for non-subscribers). Exchanges must be finalized by 2 hours prior to curtain; after that time the Box Office can accept ticket donations but can no longer accommodate exchanges.
