Pianist Robert Mollicone is a second-year Adler Fellow at San Francisco Opera, where he has served on music staff for The Magic Flute and Moby-Dick in the 2011-12 season. He completed his MMus at Boston University in 2009 as a student of Shiela Kibbe. Recent concert appearances include SF Performances’ Salon at the Rex, a program of French opera arias at the National Cathedral with Denyce Graves, and a 2012 Schwabacher Debut Recital with Daniel Curran and Adam Lau. Mr. Mollicone was a member of the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program and Virginia Opera’s Spectrum Resident Artist Program. Other coaching and assistant conductor credits include Boston Lyric Opera, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Merola Opera Program, Opera North and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He returns to San Francisco Opera this season as music staff for The Secret Garden, The Tales of Hoffmann and The Flying Dutchman, and will serve as prompter for the world premiere of Tobias Picker’s Dolores Claiborne.
