Robert Innes Hopkins

Robert Innes Hopkins made his San Francisco Opera debut with his designs for 2004's The Cunning Little Vixen and returned for L'Italiana in Algeri in in 2005. Other work includes L'Italiana in Algeri and Peter Grimes at the Santa Fe Opera, Manon Lescaut and The Bartered Bride at Opera North (U.K.), The Cunning Little Vixen at the Bregenz Festival, and Stephen Sondheim’s Passion at Minnesota Opera. Hopkins has designed several dance productions for the Yolande Snaith Theatre Dance and numerous theater productions. His awards include the 1996 Critics’ Circle Designer of the Year Award for The Comedy of Errors (Royal Shakespeare Company) and The Weavers (Gate Theatre) and the 1997 Theatrical Management Association’s Designer of the Year Award for The Wasp Factory and My Mother Said I Never Should.
