Lili Kendaka

A native of Athens, Lili Kendaka made her San Francisco Opera debut with her designs for 2010's Cyrano de Bergerac. Career operatic highlights include Un Ballo in Maschera in Palermo; Peter Grimes and Simon Boccanegra (sets and costumes) in Nancy; Così fan tutte at the Spoleto Festival U.S.A.; Macbeth in Maastricht, the Netherlands; La Cenerentola (sets and costumes) in Bordeaux; and La Traviata in St. Gallen, Switzerland. She has designed costumes and sets for several productions at the National Theatre of Greece, including Penthesilea by Kleist, Hamlet, Electra, The Persians by Aeschylus, and Three Tall Women by Edward Albee. Recent productions include Getty’s The Fall of the House of Usher and Falla’s La Vida Breve in Montpellier.
