Joël Adam

Joël Adam has been a long-time collaborator with director Laurent Pelly on several opera and theater projects, including Rameau’s Platée with Paris Opera; La Belle Hélène at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; Shakespeare’s The Life and Death of King John at the Avignon Festival; Les Contes d’Hoffmann with Lausanne Opera and in Barcelona; L’Heure Espagnole and Gianni Schicchi with Tokyo Opera; Ariadne auf Naxos and L’Elisir d’Amore at the Paris Opera; Bluebeard’s Castle, La Voix Humaine,  La Vie Parisienne, Rameau’s Les Boréades, and Chabrier’s Le Roi Malgré Lui with Lyon Opera; La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; L’Amour des Trois Oranges with Netherlands Opera; Hänsel und Gretel at the Glyndebourne Festival; and Pelléas et Mélisande and La Finta Semplice at the Theater an der Wien. Other engagements include Roméo et Juliette with Bordeaux Opera; Molière’s L’Avare and Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice at the Comédie Française; and The Rape of Lucretia at Angers Nantes Opera, among others.
