Guido Levi

Lighting designer Guido Levi makes his United States debut with San Francisco Opera this season. Following his professional debut in 1974 at Turin’s Teatro Stabile, Levi has designed lighting at venues across Europe, including Venice’s La Fenice, Milan’s La Scala, the Teatro Comunale in Bologne, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, and the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, among others. Recent career highlights include La Finta Giardiniera in Aix-en-Provence, Salome in Saint Gall, Cendrillon with Paris Opera, Aida at Palermo’s Teatro Massimo, Hamlet in Marseille, Un Ballo in Maschera in Biobao, and Agrippina at Berlin State Opera, among others.
