A native of Kansas City, tenor Robert Watson made his professional debut as a Noble in Lohengrin this past fall. In 2011 he attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He is a graduate of Oklahoma City University, where he performed the roles of Roberto (Le Villi), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Alfredo (La Traviata), and Canio (Pagliacci), which won first prize in the National Opera Association’s opera production competition. He also created the role of the Orderly in Katarzyna Brochocka’s Happy Garden of Life while at Oklahoma City University. He is a two-time Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions regional finalist and was a semi-finalist in the 2011 Loren L. Zachary competition.
