Micaela Carosi

Italian soprano Micaela Carosi makes her San Francisco Opera debut in a role she has performed at the Metropolitan Opera; the Royal Opera, Covent Garden; the Arena di Verona; Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu; the Teatro Regio in Turin; and Dresden’s Semperoper, among others. Her recent career highlights include Elisabetta (Don Carlos) at Milan’s La Scala; Maddalena (Andrea Chénier) in Paris and Monte Carlo; Leonora (La Forza del Destino) in Vienna; the title role of Tosca at Berlin State Opera, Covent Garden, and in Parma and Rome; the title role of Madama Butterfly in Vienna, Madrid, and Berlin; Amelia (Un Ballo in Maschera) in Bilbao and Marseille; the title role of Manon Lescaut with Deutsche Oper Berlin; and her debut in the title role of Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro Regio. Carosi’s future engagements include Madama Butterfly at Paris Opera; Aida at Munich’s Bavarian State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, and in Tokyo and Verona; Amelia at the Vienna State Opera; and Adriana Lecouvreur in Frankfurt and Barcelona.
