Audun Iversen

Norwegian baritone Audun Iversen makes his San Francisco Opera debut in 2013. Career highlights include Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro) and the title role of Eugene Onegin with the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, where he served as a principal artist; Count Almaviva at Deutsche Oper Berlin; Eugene Onegin in Lille, Moscow, and Athens; Zurga (Les Pêcheurs de Perles) with the Moscow State Philharmonic Society; the title role of Don Giovanni with the Glyndebourne Festival; Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) with Royal Danish Opera; and Albert (Werther) at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden. Recent and upcoming engagements include Eugene Onegin with English National Opera and at the Bolshoi, Sharpless in Rome, Count Almaviva at the Glyndebourne Festival, Marcello (La Bohème) and Lescaut (Manon) at Covent Garden, his debut with Lyric Opera of Chicago, and a new opera by George Benjamin, Written on Skin, in Florence, Vienna, and Paris.
