In a private Los Altos Hills home theater

San Francisco Opera’s Director of Music Administration Dr. Clifford (Kip) Cranna will interview composer and librettist Mark Adamo about the making of his new opera, The Gospel of Mary Magdalene, which will receive its world premiere  in June.  Adamo is a "brilliant theater composer" (The New Yorker)—his Little Women is the most frequently performed new opera of the past 20 years.

Baritone Austin Kness (Adler Fellow 2009 and 2010) who sang the lead role of Yeshua in the San Francisco Opera workshop of Mary Magdalene, will sing arias from Mary Magdalene and other selections.

After check-in, enjoy champagne, wine and hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds benefit the San Francisco Opera Guild’s Music-in-the-Schools programs and the Merola Opera Program for young singers.
