Keith Geeslin is a partner at Francisco Partners, a leading global private equity firm. He focuses primarily on investments in the communications, storage and hardware systems sectors. Prior to joining Francisco Partners, Mr. Geeslin spent 19 years with the Sprout Group (venture capital affiliate of Credit Suisse). Mr. Geeslin joined Sprout in 1984, became a general partner in 1988, and became Sprout's managing partner in 2000. Earlier in his career, he was the general manager of a division of Tymshare, Inc. and held various positions at its Tymnet subsidiary from 1980 to 1984. He was also previously a staff member of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee. Currently, Mr. Geeslin serves on the board of directors of CommVault Systems, Cross Match Technologies, Source Photonics and Synaptics. Mr. Geeslin received a B.S. in electrical engineering (1975) and a M.S. degree in engineering economic systems (1979) from Stanford University, as well as a M.S. degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University (1977). In addition to serving as a director of the San Francisco Opera Association (elected in 2010), Mr. Geeslin is a trustee of the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. His wife Priscilla “Prisca” actively serves on the boards of the San Francisco Symphony, American Conservatory Theater, NARAL, and the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.
